ZACK COOMEY SUBS TOUGH OPPONENT AND WINS GOLD IN JUNIOR BLUE BELT DIVISION

AFBJJ WA STATE NO GI TITLES 2019

The Male Junior Blue Belt 16yrs U-66kg division.

Zack's opponent Tavian is a fierce competitor and Zack had come off second best in their past meetings. This time round Zack was tripped down and found himself on his back early.

Zack Coomey wins Gold in State No Gi AFBJJ U-66kg Blue Belt division. Bronze in Open Weight Class

Zack pulled Tavian into his closed guard and looked to set up Kimora arm locks as Tavian defended Zack's attacks and stopping Zack stopping Tavian from breaking free of his guard.

Zack secured a kimora arm lock on Tavian and finished beautifully using wrist rolls and elbow pressure on the shoulder to get the tap out submission. With that move Zack hit the TOP STEP of the podium WINNING GOLD!

In the Boys Blue Belt open weight Junior division Zack was against a heavier opponent. He got the takedown and landed in his opponents guard. Zack was doing well until he was placed in a guillotine (head/neck) submission. This match was still great experience for Zack taking away bronze and overall a great tournament for him.
